BATE, John Edgar – Obituary – Sault Ste. Marie

BATE, John Edgar, age 83 passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. 

Predeceased by the love of his life Cora Arida Bate (nee Ram). Loving father of Shawn Andrew Bate (Heather Pritchard), Catherine Lynn Rizzo and Bronwen Stephanie Bate (Eric Ernst). Cherished grandfather of Taylor Miranda Bate, Nicole Alyssa Bate, Derek John Bate, Travis Lee Rizzo (Liezel), Taryn Raeanne Rizzo (Adis), Julian Felix Ernst and Elena Cora Ernst. Ever remembered by his sister Nancy McCauley. John will be greatly missed by many extended family members. In his passing we remember the joy and camaraderie that John brought to those around him, including his good friends. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter and love.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton and Kiteley Chepel (492 Wellington St E, 705-759-2522). Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Home on Wednesday November 22, 2023 from 11 am – 1 pm for a time of visitation. Service to take place the the Funeral Home at 1 pm, burial to take place at Greenwood Cemetery following.
